Yoav Nagar D.C., CCSP.
Dr. Nagar graduated cum laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1997. He continued his post-graduate studies and became certified as a specialist in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries.
As he developed and grew his practice, Dr. Nagar noted that most of his patients came to him with a common complaint: they were forced to return to other doctors for multiple visits and repeat adjustments, none of which truly alleviated their pain for a substantial period of time.
In contrast, Dr. Nagar wanted to create a system that would shift the focus of patient care to rehabilitation – in essence, to locate and address the weakness that creates instability in the body.
“..Traditional rehabilitation focuses on movement within a single plane. Pilates, in contrast, offers an effective method of restructuring and rebalancing the body and incorporates movement in three planes that teach the body to work as a single unit,..” explains Dr. Nagar. “..This is a much more functional approach to rehabilitation..”
Pilates has typically been reserved for Hollywood celebrities, but Dr. Nagar wanted to find a way to make his classes affordable, in order to allow anyone the opportunity to benefit from improved health and balance. The result was his breakthrough reformer class – the first truly affordable semi-private Pilates session with highly-trained instructors.
Dr. Nagar’s technique blends several different philosophies to create a system that is highly effective in providing patients with long-term pain relief and improved health, but the short-term benefits are also easy to observe. Most patients enjoy dramatic improvement in as little as six weeks.
Dr. Nagar plays an actie role in overseeing the studio’s daily operation. He continues to hone and refine his techniques while still seeing patients regularly. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and the author of several articles on Pilates training techniques.
